Allied Managed Care Wins Two Cost
Containment Service Contracts Public Entities Helped to Reduce Claims Costs PASADENA, CA, November 21, 2005 -- Allied Managed Care Incorporated (AMC) won bids to provide medical cost containment services to both the County of Santa Clara, and the City and County of San Francisco. Awarded three-year contracts, AMC anticipates helping both these clients reduce their claims costs by providing the County of Santa Clara with medical case management services, and providing both public entities with medical bill and utilization review services, as well as a network of multiple Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs). Both contracts will be serviced onsite at the clients' offices, as well as at AMC's newly expanded Sacramento and Pasadena branch offices. AMC administers cost containment programs to more than 100 employers in California and 50 employers in Hawaii. Expert cost containment strategies and close collaboration with clients resulted in the average cost of claims supplemented by AMC cost containment services being among the lowest in the industry.
