California SB 899 Medical Provider Network As of January 1, 2005, California employers who use a Medical Provider Network may benefit from additional savings due to Senate Bill (SB) 899 regarding the treatment of their employees’ work related injuries. Cost Savings and Quality Medical CareAllied Managed Care’s immediate, turnkey access to a Medical Provider Network (MPN) utilizes PPO networks that include thousands of medical providers throughout the State of California. We work with clients to augment the MPN with quality medical providers especially chosen for injured workers’ medical needs. Network medical providers’ fee structures are automatically integrated into our bill review system to ensure proper application of pre-negotiated discounts for treatment. Multiple reports are available to track provider utilization and billings through our medical bill review process. Allied Managed Care's MPN is approved by the State of California Division of Workers’ Compensation. We help our clients meet all MPN requirements, including MPN employee notification letters, readily available employee handbooks, second and third opinion policy, independent medical review (IMR) letters, continuity of care policy, transfer of care policy, and economic profiling policy. Greater Cost Containment Our cost containment services, such as Utilization Review, Medical Bill Review, and our Nurse Case Management program, fully integrates the MPN program. We provide real-time Internet access to MPN providers to our clients, their employees, and key supervisory staff directing the care of injured workers. |
